HEADQUARTER
After 15 years from the first canopy on the market, Company Giulio Barbieri S.p.A. has realized a big project and built a new headquarter very prestigious and at the same time different from the traditional production warehouse inserted into an industrial area.
It is an old country house, 100 years old, located inside a farm that extends 90.000 sq.m.
The total area of the company covers a surface of sq.m. 35.000 where commercial, production, accounting and residential buildings as well as square and roads are located.
This important work is characterised by different and interesting peculiarities:
Production warehouses, sq.m 10,000 made of mixed materials: supporting beams made of concrete, roof beams made of laminated wood and roof coating and side walls realised by sandwich panels for thermo-insulation.
Commercial, Accounting and Residential offices are located in the country house and they are composed by three independent units, totally 1225 sq.m. All the building have been completely re-styled by keeping unaltered the original architectural characteristics. All these units have been realized operative and functional on modern basis without altering any original architectural characteristic.
The old barn is located in three levels and has been dedicated to commercial offices only.
The farmhouse will lodge the accounting and shipment departments, as well as a meeting room and a comfortable restaurant to homely welcome our guests.
Two comfortable residences have been made at the first floor, fully furnished and to be used as guest-quarters.
A tower, already existing in the original structure of the farmhouse, is lodging the housekeepers and is fully in agreement with the neighbouring medieval Uccellino’s tower.
Particularly original was the idea to transform an ancient shelter, previously dedicated to domestic animals and to bread’s oven, into a room with bathroom where people arriving after a long trip will have the possibility to rest in a comfortable bed and have a shower.
Particular care has been given to the circulation and road conditions. On that purpose the roadway in the provincial road from Ferrara to Poggio Renatico has been enlarged by means of a roundabout, fully lightened during the night, so that the entry and way out from the company is made easier.
Internally all streets are one-way and the right direction is indicated by luminous LED lights green and red.
The visitors parking area has been located into an internal roundabout, close to the offices and surrounding a lighting “Totem”, 26 m high, showing the company’s sign and logo, and able to attract the attention of people in transit through the neighbouring roads as well as through the highway A13 Bologna-Padova.
